Elizabeth Serio Williams, Partner

Elizabeth S. Williams is an experienced attorney with a background in corporate transactional work, complex litigation, and government investigations. She began her career in New York at a leading international law firm, where she advised public and private companies on mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, project finance, and cross-border commercial transactions. Her transactional work spanned several industries, including oil and gas, renewable energy, and real estate, with clients including major financial institutions and several prominent real estate investment trusts (REITs). Her practice also encompassed compliance counseling, internal investigations, and defense litigation, including representing the defendant in a seminal Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) prosecution that has been instrumental in limiting government overreach pursuant to the FPCA.
Elizabeth also served as a Trial Attorney at the Department of Justice and Department of Homeland Security, where she tried numerous cases to verdict and gained a deep understanding of regulatory enforcement and policy implementation. She is adept at depositions, cross examination, and all aspects of civil and criminal discovery. Her federal experience informs her ability to navigate the intersection of business and government with precision.
Drawing on her combined private and public sector experience, Elizabeth offers clients practical, business-focused counsel grounded in sound judgment and discretion. Her practice reflects the rigor of large-firm training with the agility and personal attention of a boutique firm. She enjoys working with small businesses and startups, drawing on her complex transactional and litigation expertise to advise her clients on practical and creative solutions.
In her spare time, Elizabeth enjoys travel, college football, and volunteering at her children’s school.
